On April 18th, the City of Pinole hosted its annual Earth Day Walk at Fernandez Park. FOPCW volunteers staffed a table set up between the Girl Scouts and the Garden Club. FOPCW simultaneously hosted the monthly clean-up along Pinole Creek. Volunteers used the event to welcome new sign-ups for future clean-ups and events. Once again, families with children enjoyed the stamping activity, creating wildlife images that represent stewardship of Pinole Creek.
Join all Pinole Creek Allies on Saturday April 18 for a celebration of our commitment to the Pinole Creek Watershed! Earth Walk starts at 9 am in Fernandez Park. We will be picking up trash and there will be activities for "kids of all ages" sponsored by local organizations including FOPCW. See you there! For more information and to take the pledge, go here on the City's website.
