Pinole Pollinator Pathway

We are buzzing with excitement as the Pinole Pollinator Pathway takes root!

The Pinole Pollinator Pathway is a partnership between the Pinole Garden Club, The Friends of Pinole Creek Watershed, and the City of Pinole. We are creating a local network of public and private California native plant gardens, grown without pesticides, that provide nutrition and habitat for butterflies, moths, bees, birds, and wildlife.

Anyone can be part of the movement because every yard and every public space can make a difference. Even the smallest green spaces, like sidewalk planters, curb strips, and even barrels can be part of the pathway. Our mission is simple: Plant more California natives without the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers to support beneficial pollinators.

Join us to let our city blossom into a haven where bees, butterflies, and birds can wing it from garden to garden! We hope schools, businesses, churches, and backyard dreamers alike will join us to keep Pinole alive with life!

Pinole Pollinator Pathway gardens are spaces that use native plants specifically to attract and sustain native pollinators such as beetles, butterflies, moths, wasps, native bees and bumblebees. It is essential that no pesticides that could kill or impair pollinators in any of their life stages, or have a toxic effect on other wildlife, water resources, pets and people, be used to manage these vital garden spaces.
