At our July Cleanup in the Upper Watershed, 18 dedicated volunteers collected 421.3 lbs including the trash from Pinole Creek near Ellerhorst Elementary / 157 gallons plus the Ellerhorst trash. We collected a floor cleaner, chairs, blankets, car parts, and gardening trash from behind Ellerhorst school. It was beautiful out there - lots of positive feedback from the cyclists!! The goats and emu were out to greet us!
On Sat, August 16, come see a part of the Pinole Creek Watershed you don't normally travel to! Join us at 10 am for a trash cleanup in the Upper Watershed at the intersection of Alhambra Valley Road and Bear Creek Road (map link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Hh6vG9UZQg6e93Kj6). We don't know the weather so far in advance, but it may be sunny and hot, so come prepared! We'll have water and snacks and all tools. We'll be cleaning up mostly along the road, so think safety! We may have the opportunity to help out with the EBMUD plantings at the site, so keep your fingers crossed!
