The Pinole Pollinator Pathway is now official! We kicked off this project with an event at Fernandez Park on Feb 7. Two City Council members, two City staff, and about 50 folks from all over the East Bay joined us to welcome a new public pollinator garden to our City and Watershed. A materials display, resources and experts such as Kathy Kramer taught how to start a pesticide-free California Native plant garden. We raffled off many beautiful plants and demonstrated how to start a garden in a wine barrel! If you are interested in converting your yard/garden to native pollinator plants, and earning the chance to obtain one of our medallions, joining the Pinole Pollinator Pathway, contact us at info@FriendsOfPinoleCreek.org or reach out to the Pinole Garden Club on Facebook. We’d love to see what you are doing!
Join Daisy to celebrate the Pinole Pollinator Pathway City Garden in Fernandez Park at 10 am on Saturday, Feb 7! We'll add a few new California natives to the anchor plants and invite you to join FOPCW, the Pinole Garden Club, and the City of Pinole in planting your own CA Native Pollinator Garden to welcome the bumblebees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators to your home!
