October Workday and Creek Cleanup

  • Pinole Library 2935 Pinole Valley Road Pinole, CA, 94564 United States (map)

Our October event was awesome. At the Native Plant Garden behind the Pinole Library, the SOS Richmond crew led the building of a new pathway, and the planting of new plants to grace the cleared space. Well done! The trash cleanup teams collected almost 90 pounds of small trash plus construction debris and other large items. Nothing stopped these folks! You are all an inspiration!

Join the SOS Richmond/Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) team to celebrate the remarkable extension and restoration of the Pinole Library Native Plant Garden! At the October 18 event, you will have your choice of engagement:  placing rocks to define the pathways throughout the newly cleared-out area, planting natives, or cleaning up trash along the path that runs from PVHS to the pedestrian bridge behind Jamba Juice (a trash hotspot). We are thrilled to continue this partnership and access new territory!

Tools and treats provided. Bring your own water bottle.
